Addressing our Economic Crisis
After a week of celebrating our nation’s heroes and going to events and meetings throughout our District, I am headed back to DC to continue fighting on your behalf. With their proposed tax and spending spree, President Biden and radical Democrats in Congress want to transform America by forcing their leftist agenda. They seem to have no concern about the collateral damage. We cannot let that happen!
Please continue reading about my efforts on your behalf last week. Addressing our Economic CrisisI have significant concerns about the Democrats’ tax and spending spree bill. This reckless bill is bad for our country, and I will keep fighting against its passage. Click here to listen to me discuss my specific concerns about this proposal and the infrastructure package which recently passed.
Also, after fighting for months about how to spend trillions of your tax dollars to achieve liberal goals, Democrats have now decided to send $125,000 to wealthy Americans. More than 90% of Americans won’t benefit from the changes to the State and Local Tax (SALT) deductions because they do not itemize their tax returns. Despite Democrats’ talking points to the contrary, this proposed bill will now do more to help the super-rich than it does for climate change, childcare, or pre-school-aged children.
Last week, it was announced that prices for U.S. consumers jumped 6.2% in October compared with a year earlier, leaving families facing their highest inflation rate since 1990. Because of this record high inflation, the average American household is paying $2,000 more for basic goods and services than it was a year ago. The proposed tax and spending spree bill will only drive inflation up higher. My constituents simply cannot afford more increases.
