The Sub-Directorate for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Goods, of the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, carried out inspections in brothels in areas of Athens in the afternoon hours yesterday, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, to identify victims of human trafficking - sexual exploitation.

In this context, police officers from the Department for Combating Human Trafficking and Smuggling arrested a total of -11- individuals, against whom a case was filed for violating seals set by the Authority, as they had been repeatedly sealed, pursuant to relevant decisions of the competent Municipalities, while a total amount of -1.705- euros was found and seized.

The arrested were taken to the competent prosecutor's office, while the Municipal Authorities will be informed about the re-sealing of the brothels.
