Intensive checks are carried out throughout the country by the Hellenic Police Services to implement measures to prevent and limit the spread of the coronavirus.
Yesterday, Friday 26 November took place throughout the territory 70.251 controls, of which 31.207 at the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos".
They were totally confirmed 254 infringements and took place 2 arrests, as follows:
- 91 violations for not using a mask, etc. related infringements and 90 fines of EUR 300 and 1 of EUR 150 were imposed, as follows:
- 35 in Thessaloniki,
- 10 in the North Aegean,
- 9 in Thessaly,
- 9 in Western Greece,
- 8 in Epirus,
- 7 in Central Macedonia,
- 4 in Western Macedonia,
- 3 in the Peloponnese,
- 3 in the Ionian Islands,
- 1 in Central Greece,
- 1 in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and
- 1 in the South Aegean.
Since the entry into force of the new measures (November 7, 2020), they have been fully certified 76.101 similar infringements and were imposed 72.795 administrative fines of EUR 300 and 3.306 of 150 euros.
- 8 violations for restricting movement by imposing a fine of 300 euros, of which, 7 in the North Aegean and 1 in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
Since the entry into force of the measure (November 7, 2020) they have been fully certified 196.294 similar infringements.
- 152 infringements and 2 arrests, for rules of operation of shops, private companies, etc. violations of the relevant legislation (prohibition of operation, non-use of a mask, percentage of square meters per person, etc.).
In the above cases, the following sanctions were imposed for violation of suspension of operation, etc. related infringements of the relevant provisions, namely:
In Western Greece,
- arrest and a fine of 5.000 euros, to a temporary manager of a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for customer service without the necessary certificates and 1 violation to the customer,
- arrest and a fine of 5.000 euros, to the owner of a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for customer service without the necessary certificates and 1 violation to the customer,
- 4 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by employees and a customer of stores.
In Central Macedonia,
- from a fine of 5.000 euros in 2 stores of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation on each, for serving 2 customers, without the necessary certificates and from 2 violations to customers,
- 6 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by employees and customers of stores. In addition, 6 offenses, for non-use of a mask, by vehicle passengers and 1 by a person outdoors in a crowded area,
- 1 violation in a store, for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.
In Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
- 000 euros fine in a store, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for customer service without the necessary certificates and 1 violation to the customer,
- 13 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by owners, employees and customers of stores. In addition, 1 violation, for not using a mask in a KTEL waiting area.
In Thessaloniki,
- 23 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask by employees and customers of stores,
- 3 violations in stores, for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.
In Central Greece, 21 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by owner, employee and shop customers.
In Thessaly,
- 20 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by owners, employees and customers of stores,
- 1 violation in a store, for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.
In the Ionian Islands, 20 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by an employee and customers of stores.
In Crete,
- 7 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by employees and customers of stores,
- 1 violation in a store, for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.
In Epirus, 7 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by shop customers.
In the Peloponnese,
- 5 infringements of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by employees and customers of stores,
- 1 violation in a store, for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.
In Attica,
- 3 violations in stores, for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.
- 1 violation of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by a store employee.
In the North Aegean, 2 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask by shop customers.
In the South Aegean, 2 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by store employees.
In Western Macedonia, 1 violation of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by a customer of a store.
Since the implementation of the new measures (November 7, 2020) they have been fully certified 24.226 similar offenses and have been arrested 2.698 People.
- Finally, 3 violations were confirmed for non-completion of the electronic form PLF (Passenger Locator Form) by a traveler. Since the implementation of the new measures (November 7, 2020) they have been fully certified 460 similar infringements.
The inspections continue with undiminished intensity for the protection of public health.
