Results of tests for measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus
Intensive inspections are carried out throughout the country by its Services Of the Greek Police for the implementation of measures to avoid and limit its spread coronavirus.
Yesterday, Sunday, October 17, 96.274 tests were carried out throughout the country to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, of which 53.457 at the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos".
A total of 205 violations were confirmed and 1 arrest was made, as follows:
• 68 violations for not using a mask, etc. related infringements and fines of EUR 60 and EUR 300 of EUR 8 were imposed, as follows:
o 20 in Thessaloniki,
o 8 in Epirus,
o 8 in Western Greece,
o 7 in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
o 5 in Thessaly,
o 5 in Western Macedonia,
o 4 in the North Aegean,
o 4 in the South Aegean,
o 3 in the Peloponnese,
o 3 in Central Macedonia and
o 1 in Central Greece.
Since the implementation of the new measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (November 7, 2020), a total of 71.211 similar violations have been confirmed and 68.073 administrative fines of 300 euros and 3.138 of 150 euros have been imposed.
• 7 violations for restriction of movement by imposing an equal number of fines of 300 euros 6 in the North Aegean and 1 in Central Greece.
Since the entry into force of the measure (November 7, 2020), a total of 195.930 similar violations have been confirmed.
• 129 violations and 1 arrest, for rules of operation of shops, private companies, etc. violations of the relevant legislation (prohibition of operation, non-use of a mask, percentage of square meters per person, etc.).
In the above cases, the following sanctions were imposed for violation of suspension of operation, etc. related infringements of the relevant provisions, namely:
In Central Macedonia,
- 13 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by customers and store employees.
- 1 violation of 300 euros in a store, for not posting a sign of the maximum number of people allowed.
In Thessaloniki,
- 2.000 euros and 7 days suspension of operation in a store of health interest for standing customers outside the store
- 1 fine of 300 euros in a store for not posting the maximum number of people in the store,
- 18 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask by customers and employees of stores.
In Western Greece,
- arrest of a person temporarily responsible and a fine of 10.000 euros in a store of health interest, with the imposition of a 15-day suspension of operation, for serving a large number of customers,
- 3 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by store employees, to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
In Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, 10 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by owners and customers of stores.
In Attica,
- from 300 euros fine to 2 companies, for not posting the maximum number of allowed people in a store,
- 9 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask by shop customers.
In Crete,
- 2.000 euros fine in a store of health interest, with imposition of 7-day suspension, for customer entry without the necessary certificates and 300 euros to the customer,
- 1 fine of 300 euros in a store for not posting the maximum number of people in the store,
- 9 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask by employees of stores.
In Thessaly, a violation of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by a store employee.
In Central Greece,
- an offense to a company for not posting a sign of the maximum number of persons allowed,
- 16 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by customers, employees, owner and temporary managers of stores.
In the South Aegean, 12 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by employees and customers of stores.
In Western Macedonia, 3 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask by employees of shops.
In the Ionian Islands,
- 2.000 euros fine to the owner of a cafe - bar, with the imposition of a 7-day suspension, for employment of an employee without the necessary certificates,
- 6 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by customers of stores to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
In the North Aegean, 5 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by the owner and employees of stores.
In the Peloponnese, 3 violations of 300 euros, for non-use of a mask, by employees and a customer of a store.
In Epirus, 8 violations of 300 euros, for not using a mask, by shop customers.
Since the implementation of the new measures (November 7, 2020), a total of 17.682 similar violations have been confirmed and 2.573 people have been arrested.
• Finally, 1 violation was confirmed for non-completion of the electronic form PLF (Passenger Locator Form) by a traveler. Since the entry into force of the new measures (November 7, 2020), a total of 402 similar violations have been confirmed.
Controls continue unabated to protect public health and prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
