Yanna Myrat

He was born in Volos on 2/10/56, but grew up in Athens from the age of one.
Due to her father's dismissal by the Junta, after graduating from 6th grade high school, she was forced to interrupt her musical studies, specifically in the flute, in order to work and help support the family financially.
However, she later successfully completed her musical studies in 1992. She returned to Volos and was one of the founding members of the Volos Symphony Orchestra.
She taught at the Municipal Conservatories of Karditsa and Volos, as well as at the Music Schools of Larissa and Volos, with her students receiving first prizes at the Panhellenic Music Competitions that were held in those years.
As a musician, in addition to her participation in the Volos orchestra, she has given concerts as a soloist with the Volos and Larissa orchestras, as well as various recitals.
For 9 years she was the artistic director of the International Flute Festival held in Makrinitsa, Pelion, which was interrupted due to the crisis. During her teaching at the Municipal Conservatory of Volos, she created the only flute band in Greece, "The Synavloi", giving remarkable performances in collaboration with other ensembles - such as ballet, choirs, puppet theater, etc. - with works specially written or arranged by her for the ensemble.
From a writing perspective, she has translated many books from English, and was the first to discover and translate in Greece the Nobel Prize in Literature laureate, Nadine Gordimer, before she even won the award.
He has also published three children's books with musical themes and CD's:

• There were three magi… wise men and kings
Since 2011, he has been writing articles covering various topics, such as environmental, political and social, etc., maintaining alternative news websites, while also participating in Zougla, one of the leading electronic media in Greece.
