Free self test for students of all levels
The Press Offices of Ministries of Education and Religions and Health announce:
Students of all levels will be provided from tomorrow, Thursday 14 October until Saturday 23 October, five (5) free self-diagnostic (self) tests from pharmacies, in order to meet the control needs of the days from October 18 to November 4 and to come to school according to the instructions of the experts.
It is reminded that:
- the self-test will take place up to 24 hours before school every Tuesday and Friday,
- the screening for the new coronavirus through self-diagnosis is mandatory for students,
- a certificate of negative self-test must be carried by students who do not have a vaccination certificate (for students 12 years and older) nor a certificate of past illness (last semester),
- vaccinated students are not entitled to a free self-test, as they do not have to take them unless there is a specific reason (ie a case of a classmate),
- The free self test is available from pharmacies only during working days and hours, so that during the days and nights they can serve emergencies.
We continue to urge the parents of students 12 years of age and older who have not yet vaccinated their children to rush to do so, thus utilizing this powerful weapon against the COVID-19 and contributing to building a wall of immunity.
