With deep emotion and sincere gratitude, we warmly thank His Eminence Archbishop of America, Mr. Elpidophoros, for the extraordinary honor of his presence at the 11th International Summer University, organized at the Malliotio Cultural Center in Boston by the University of Ioannina.
His warm handshake and the kind words he addressed to the publisher of Greek News and Radio FL, Ioanna Lazarou, but also to the mission of our medium, constituted for us a special moment of honor that will remain indelibly in our memory.
In this meeting, we met an Archbishop who was clear, friendly, welcoming and authentic. Without pretense and formality, but with clear, direct and humane language, His Eminence spoke to us with frankness about all that we should know and highlight as media — both from the Greek and American sides. He offered us not just a presence, but a substantial dialogue and perspective.
His support for the media people of the Greek Diaspora, and especially those who serve the Greek language and cultural continuity, is an act of deep recognition and support for our work.
