Fourteen live and live-in-a-box cases from Onassis, top Greek centers and international hospitals at Advanced Valve Therapies 2026.
Athens is hosting the international conference Advanced Valve Therapies 2026 (AVT 2026), one of the most important scientific events in the field of percutaneous heart valve therapies and structural heart diseases, on June 19 and 20, 2026. The conference will be held at the Eugenides Foundation, bringing together leading scientists, clinicians and healthcare professionals from Greece and abroad.
Percutaneous therapies have radically changed the treatment of patients with severe valvular heart disease, offering safe and effective solutions without the need for open surgery to an increasing number of patients. Technologies such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI), mitral and tricuspid valve procedures, as well as modern treatments for structural heart disease, are currently transforming clinical practice worldwide.
The conference is attended by internationally recognized scientists who are at the forefront of the development of technologies and therapies that are currently changing the treatment of valvular and structural heart diseases worldwide.
A special feature of Advanced Valve Therapies 2026 is the presentation of 14 live and live-in-a-box cases from Onassis, leading Greek centers and hospitals abroad. Through real clinical cases, participants will have the opportunity to follow step by step the decision-making process, the planning and execution of complex percutaneous interventions on heart valves and structural heart diseases.
The scientific program covers all modern developments in aortic, mitral and tricuspid valve interventions, new percutaneous valve replacement technologies, left atrial appendage closure (LAAO) procedures, the management of paravalvular leaks, as well as the role of artificial intelligence, imaging and genetics in personalized patient treatment.
At the same time, the challenges regarding patient access to innovative treatments and the prospects for further development of structural cardiac interventions in Greece and internationally will be discussed.
