Ioanna Paliokosta was born in September 1962. She comes from Omvriaki, Phthiotis, and lives in Athens. She worked as a private employee. She has been involved in painting since her youth. She believes that art reflects her personal experience, thoughts, emotions and readings, in life and the environment. She has studied alongside important painters of the School of Fine Arts both in group workshops and on an individual level. Her artistic presence is continuous in solo exhibitions, while she also participates in group ones. She paints mainly on canvas and paper. She uses materials such as pencils and charcoal, oils, acrylics. She processes colors, experiments and creates with mixed techniques. Her works can be found in private collections, as well as in public spaces. Her interests also include the illustration of literary books as well as musical works.
