The Greek News and Radio FL actively present at the top meeting on language and the Greek diaspora
The Malliotio Cultural Center in Boston is being held with great success. 11th International Summer University, under his auspices and Greek Parliament, on the subject:
"Greek Language and Diaspora Media".
The greek News and Radio FL has the special honor of actively participating in the work of the conference, which is a milestone for the preservation of the language and cultural identity of the Hellenic Diaspora.
By the third day of the conference, important figures from Greece, the United States and the global Greek community emphasized the imperative need to preserve and strengthen the Greek LanguageParticular emphasis was placed on the role that can and should be played by Greek Media in preserving linguistic and cultural heritage.
The conference was honored with their presence and speeches:
- Mary Myrogianni, Secretary General of Hellenes Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
- John Joseph Plakiotakis, First Vice-President of the Hellenic Parliament, Member of Parliament for Lassithi, representing the President of the Parliament, Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis,
- Delegation of Special Permanent Committee for Hellenism in the Diaspora, consisting of:
- Nina G. Kasimati, Vice-President of the Committee, Member of Parliament for Piraeus B
- Stylianos Petsa, Member of Parliament for East Attica and former Deputy Minister of Interior
- Throughout the conference, also present was Consul General of Greece in Boston, Mr. Stratos Tegos.

Professors, researchers and journalists from different countries presented in-depth presentations, highlighted the challenges facing the Greek language in the diaspora and proposed applicable solutions to strengthen language education.
The presence of the iconic journalist Panos Sombolou was, of course, a great honor.

As part of the institution's cultural activities, it hosts Sketch Artists Exhibition with works by:
Elias Makri, Andreas Petroulakis and Stathis Stavropoulos (Stathi), which enriches the content of the conference with a visual perspective.

Today, Wednesday, begins the round tables work, aiming to network, coordinate and strengthen the Greek diaspora media, through joint proposals and collaborative actions for the protection of the language.
