Declaration, March 12, 2026
FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
This Women's History Month, we honor the extraordinary Americans of our past and the female leaders of our present, who have strengthened our families, enriched our culture, defended our values, pioneered sectors of our economy, and shaped our Nation's bright future.
For 250 years, strong women have led our Nation to countless new heights and moments of triumph. To this day, in every field of endeavor, women are role models of success, pioneers in their fields, and role models within their families. Whether they serve our Nation as members of the armed forces, as leaders in government, as entrepreneurs, or as mothers, every dedicated woman contributes to the strength, prosperity, and way of life of our country.
That’s why my administration will always advance policies that empower women, support our children, and strengthen the American family. Since I returned to office last year, we have permanently extended the child tax credit, invested in the next generation through the historic creation of Trump Accounts, and dramatically reduced the prices of essential drugs like insulin and fertility treatments through TrumpRx. We are ensuring that men are excluded from women’s sports, enforcing Title IX as originally written, and ensuring that universities maintain — and where possible expand — scholarships and positions for female athletes. At the same time, we are restoring public safety and upholding the rule of law in every city so that women, children, and families feel safe.
We are also restoring the strength of the American economy by ensuring that hard-working women who build businesses and grow our industry can achieve even greater success. A small business owner can now expand her company thanks to a historic 20% tax credit. A farmer will benefit from new trade markets that allow her to sell more American products around the world. And with the One Big Beautiful Bill, we eliminated taxes on tips and overtime, putting more money in the pockets of working women across America.
This month, we recognize and honor the incredible women who built our Nation, shaped our conscience, and lifted our spirit. May their legacy continue to inspire future generations of citizens to strive for excellence, lead with pride, and carry forward the timeless values that make America the greatest country in the history of the world.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 2026 as Women's History Month. I call upon public officials, educators, librarians, and all citizens of the United States to observe this day with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twelfth day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand and twenty-six, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fiftieth year.
DONALD J TRUMP
