Washington, November 12, 2025.
The White House announced that the President of the United States has signed into law Bill HR 5371, known as "Continuing Appropriations, Agriculture, Legislative Branch, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Extensions Act, 2026."
The new bill provides for continued funding and spending extensions for fiscal year 2026, covering key areas such as:
- agriculture,
- the legislature,
- military constructions and
- veterans' affairs.
With its signing, the risk of a federal government shutdown is temporarily averted and the smooth continuation of public services is ensured until the full budget for the new year is approved.
HR 5371 is part of the administration's strategy for financial stability and maintaining critical programs, amid political debates in Congress about the scope and priorities of 2026 spending.
