Specifically, the criminals have created a website with the address astynomiiia.cc, which visually resembles the official website of the Greek Police and urges users to enter information supposedly for the payment of a traffic fine.
This website does not belong to the Hellenic Police.
Citizens are invited to:
- not to enter personal or banking information on the website in question,
- not to make any payment through it,
- always check that they are on the official website of the Hellenic Police before taking any action,
- Be especially careful with links sent via SMS, email or messaging apps.
In the event that a citizen has already entered personal or banking information on this website, it is recommended that they contact their bank immediately to take measures to protect their accounts and cards and to inform the Greek Police.
