At the age of 19, she decided to go to England, to the University of Kent, and study Photography (2001-2005). Returning to Athens, where she was born and raised, she worked in publishing, in an advertising agency, in a private television channel and in the Municipality of Athens as a photographer and in charge of public relations and communication. Also in 2014, while participating as a Photography teacher at the Lifelong Learning Center of Nea Ionia (INRDIVIM), she organized and presented the group photography exhibition on the theme 'The Roads of Refugee'. After starting her own family and having her first two children while still young, she decided to pursue a postgraduate degree in Cultural Heritage Management, which was then offered by the University of Kent and the Athens University of Economics and Business School (2017-18). Since Christmas 2019, she has immigrated to America with her husband, three children and their dog Kallista, in Virginia. In the summer of 2023, they changed state so that the family could be closer to the Greek School, Socrates Academy and the large Greek Community of Charlotte, North Carolina, where Sofia worked as a Greek teacher. She fights with all her might so that the children of the Greek diaspora do not lose their Greekness, and she maintains high goals, ethos and values, thus contributing to the Greek Orthodox community.
