At this moment, the dead from the bad weather Daniel that hit Greece in the last days, destroying in its path and leaving unprecedented images for Greece. The last two women found, bringing the number of victims to this tragic number, were recorded in Astritsa Karditsa. A livestock farmer in Domoko was found dead earlier on Thursday.
Unfortunately, we cannot yet know if and how much this list will grow, since many areas are flooded to such an extent that the water has reached the roofs of houses, and crews trying to help in some cities are crossing in inflatable boats from the main roads. Palamas Karditsas (see photo) is an unfortunate example of this flood.
Especially in Magnesia, Pelion and the areas around Volos, the situation is more than tragic. The main port has been closed, so there is no way to go to another area, while the smaller ports used to go to the Sporades have literally disappeared.
The road networks, central and regional, have been broken as well as the bridges, which has isolated Volos from other areas, while Pelion is also currently unclear to what extent of destruction it has reached, since there is no road communication.
The coastline has completely disappeared, while homes, shops and businesses have been 100% affected.
Unfortunately, similar images exist in other regions of Greece: Evia, Fthiotida, Thessaly have suffered tragic damage.
Unprecedented floods also in Attica, which experienced a cataclysmic situation with people and cars being swept away by the waters in Vasilissis Sofias. The Evangelismos METRO station was flooded to such an extent that everything looked like a lake.
The number of people trapped in various regions of the country is very large, while there are also many regions without electricity and water.
In Larissa, the level of Pinios rose dangerously, which causes great concern. Trikala, Evia, difficult times for the residents.
Many areas that had already been labeled "fire-hit" are now suffering from the huge volumes of water from Daniel.
