Have you ever heard the saying that the more you travel, the more your mind opens? Some would consider it an exaggeration, some the opposite, the only sure thing is that traveling helps you get to know and maybe revise some of your beliefs.
What's more beautiful than traveling? To be filled with colors, aromas and images that are worth a thousand words. I personally belong to those people who would like to travel around the world and I describe myself as a picture collector. I try to fill my mind with images, enough so that I can recall them when I need them. I do the same, unconsciously this time with perfumes. I don't think I'm the only one. Many of us who love traveling, consider it necessary to maintain our good mental health. It arises as a necessity and not as a means of entertainment or a way of showing off to other people.
By traveling you discover what it's like to live under different weather and geoclimatic conditions, as well as under different socio-political systems. Places you used to see in photos, you live them, you walk them. You taste ingredients that you might not have imagined could go together and produce this delicious result. By conversing with natives, you understand the reason and the reason for another's thinking and it is not a few times that you will be surprised to better understand some things about life, you will become wiser and you will feel more fulfilled, after seeing with your own eyes how they live and with what other people in this world are happy. This is the difference between living and being a mere spectator, and so the lessons are immediate and clear to the traveler who has left his heart and mind open to receive them. Of course, a good company, which will have the same thirst for learning and exploration as us, can contribute to all of the above.
In summary, travel boosts our health in a variety of ways. They often help us to maintain a good physical condition and therefore our overall health, to enrich our knowledge and of course to strengthen our mental health, since quite simply they improve our mood. For me they are real wealth and worth every investment of money and time. They are the only thing we buy that makes us richer. I recommend that you don't let any opportunity go to waste. Even the places that are close in distance, hide magic in them. If nothing else, they will definitely refresh you. In closing, I wish you the good fortune to take many, many trips in your lifetime and that each next trip is better than the last. Remember: "Travel isn't always pretty. They are not always comfortable. Sometimes it's hard. But every journey changes us, it must change us. They leave marks on our memory, on our consciousness, on our heart and on our body. We take some of it with us. Maybe we are leaving a part of ourselves behind.»
«20 years from now you will be disappointed by the things you didn't do and not by the things you did. So live your life. Explore the world. Dream on.»
