I was born a tree
on the edge of a cliff
falcons were my friends
and wild animals of the mountain.
The sun above me
hit me in the eye
my lonely hope
the alargema of the mind.
I was born a tree
on the edge of a cliff
spread around me
a sea of silence.
Old men beat me
and I was bending my back
and the roots that held me
I was put in jail.
I was born a tree
on the edge of a cliff
I was staring at the past
and I was throwing up bile.
I envied the flying ones
on the heights and on the backs
so I cut my roots
and I became a bird.
I was born a tree, but became a bird.
