The event, themed "The international environment and The challenges a for Greece of 2030», will take place on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 7 pm, in the amphitheater of the Cooperative Bank of Chania, at 28 Eleftheriou Venizelou Street.
Speakers will be the New Democracy MP for Chania and former Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Greece and professor at the University of Piraeus Theodoros Pelagidis, as well as the associate professor at the Technical University of Crete George Astalakis.
The event will be coordinated by Professor and Director of the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Giorgos Baourakis.
Through the different scientific and political perspectives of the speakers, it is expected that changes in the international environment and their consequences for the country's position, economy and strategic choices with a horizon of 2030 will be examined.
The event is an open discussion and is organized by the "Constantinos Karamanlis" Democracy Institute, which is active in the study of political, economic and social issues and in the formulation of policy proposals.
