The charitable nursing home ¨Spitiko tis Agapi' of the Social Care of Moschato has been operating since 1962 and is perhaps the only place in Greece that houses and cares completely for needy and lonely grandparents, without requiring the slightest contribution from them.
It houses people who, in the most vulnerable period of their lives, in old age, found themselves without money and without people by their side.
In its 62 years of operation (1962-2024), more than 540 grandparents who were humiliated in life lived in this ¨Home¨, in the last years of their lives in family conditions. All these years without fixed income (pensions - rents and government assistance), it is based on the strength and morals of people and companies like yours, who by taking the place of the family they don't have, became their own people!
A great honor for the Association is the fact that all the Bodies that have to do with control mechanisms are essential advertisers of the Foundation. Dozens of awards over the years, with a special recognition and award from the Academy of Athens in 1993, for the work carried out.

Today… We are forced to struggle simultaneously, for survival and for costly building improvements. Our grandparents are destitute and there is no government assistance. The costs, on the contrary, which are required and affect their quality of life, are high, fixed and inelastic. At the same time, we are obliged to reconstruct our building, so that it can be adapted to the specifications that the state requires today for nursing homes. The funds required are indeed beyond the means of a charitable foundation

Let's stand by them "as members of a family", pointing out that, as in real family, small acts of care have great value when combined. There is no "floor" amount to add a company or person to the extended family that embraces our needy grandparents. There are donation categories that are directly linked to specific expenses.

Small Contribution: Covering small daily expenses (40 to 100€ per month) For those who wish to contribute to basic and daily expenses, such as snacks and hygiene items, with a small but essential offer. Even small contributions from many companies have a powerful impact on our daily lives
Medium Contribution: Health and nutrition support (€100 to €400 per month) A medium contribution can provide medicine or cover the elderly's nutrition for several days. With this contribution, your company directly supports the health and quality of life of our guests.
Major Contribution: Supporting the functionality of the nursing home (€400 up to...per month) With a large contribution, your company can cover important operational costs, such as electricity bills or basic medical services.
You can thus contribute to the stability of our staff and the continued quality of care services. Every form of involvement is extremely important to us, and no matter what level you choose, you will be part of a chain of care that changes lives. The importance of the stability that standing orders offer is crucial.
