On Saturday, June 10, the 38th Manhattan Minority Parade took place, and the attendance of Albanian organizations coordinated by albanian Root was impressive.
The striking thing in this numerous meeting was the use of anti-Greek slogans, which referred to "genocide against the Albanians of Tsamouria" (that is, the Tsamids of Epirus), by the Greeks. At the same time, flags were used which illustrated Greater Albania, which included Corfu and Epirus.
Even more impressive was the mention of the Greek warriors and heroes of the Greek independence revolution of 1821, as Albanians.
This parade apparently went unnoticed by the Greek diaspora. This is inferred from the low participation of Greek expatriates, at a time when the American media emphatically showed footage of the event, with headlines such as "New York, thousands of Albanians honor the Cham victims of the Greek massacre".
The Albanian participation in this event is always intense and usually deals with the same anti-Greek theme.
