Recently there has been a sharp increase fraudulent emails (spam) sent to citizens, often in a serious or "professional" style, with the aim of extracting bank details, personal information or money.
These emails may appear as:
alleged business proposals
alleged money transfers from abroad
alleged inheritances or "balances" in accounts
alleged collaborations with financial benefit
In fact it is scam.
WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO
Do not respond to suspicious or unknown emails.
Never give out bank account details
Do not share card numbers, IBANs, passwords or personal documents
Do not click on links that ask you to "confirm information"
No serious service, bank or organization does not request personal or banking information via email.
HOW TO RECOGNIZE EMAIL FRAUD
They come from unknown or strange addresses
They demand an immediate response or create a sense of urgency
They promise easy or quick financial gain
They have a general address and not your name
WHAT TO DO
Delete the email without replying.
Mark it as spam.
Inform relatives and friends, especially the elderly
Vigilance and information are the best defense.
No "easy money" comes via email.
