PASOK-KINAL requested an investigative committee on the issue of wiretapping, while ND is said to be voting "absentee".
This decision of the ND was announced by Dimitris Kairides, who mentioned that the Constitution, based on the latest revision, allows the opposition to request the establishment of a commission of inquiry.
"... we will vote in person, making it easier recommendation of the investigation committee proposed by PASOK, without of course accepting the rationale of PASOK's proposal," he said characteristically.
Afterwards, the MP of PASOK-KINAL, Haris Kastanidis, stated that this proposal made for the investigation committee, concerns three cases: the monitoring of Androulakis, the complaints of the KKE for wiretapping, and the monitoring of journalists.
As Haris Kastanidis stated: "Either they violate common sense, or they have something to hide."
PASOK's proposal also found agreement KKE. Nikos Karathanasopoulos stated: "The KKE supports the establishment of an investigative committee and calls on the other parties to commit that the investigative committee will investigate all these specific cases."
