Today, unfortunately, Europe is presented as an exclusively monetary Union, and not a political and cultural one as envisioned by its founders. The results of the recent European elections undoubtedly cause skepticism in all the countries of the European Union.
Far-right parties are threatening the Christian Democrats and Socialists, and two female powerhouses, Georgia Meloni and Marine Le Pen, seem to be taking the pulse of society, and are increasingly showing their willingness to impose their own policies. It is no coincidence that Macron was forced to immediately resort to elections. Meloni beautifies her profile with center-left trappings and her diplomatic moves impress and influence political developments in Europe.
Both the old EEC and the EU later they relied to develop on the coexistence of two main political directions, Christian democracy and social democracy. Their goals are the human-centered nature of the Union, the social market economy, the rule of law and the deepening of democracy. We wonder, therefore, whether these goals were met. The answer is, no, and this fully justifies the result of the European elections. Thus a current against the Union is fueled, with thoughts, among other things, of restoring the nation-state and a negative attitude towards the rights of immigrants.
However, the citizens of Europe, including our country, who are forced to turn to the far-right parties are not against the Union, we would not call them anti-European, because their desperation for the anti-Human policy that is being practiced leads them to extreme solutions. Even those who did not turn to these solutions are now thinking seriously about where we are going, when we do not live in a Europe of the people, but of the few and their own interests.
The socialist parties face a decline, the communists remain in their utopian ideas, while the citizens demand an immediate solution to their livelihood problems. Let us look back, on the occasion of the European elections, to the principles and values of the European model.

Citizens are not anti-European, but they seriously think about the future of Europe, when the present brings them to despair, when European integration and world peace are threatened, when the politicians have betrayed them. This is exactly the ambivalent problem that our country is also facing, where the ruling faction, which has disappointed the people, has no strong opponent, the leader of a new centre-left faction is being sought.
