The Director of the Center for Greek Culture - K. E.P., doctor of history Dora Giannitsi. In her speech, Dora Giannitsi focused on the highlighting of the common pages of history that connect the two identical peoples, Greeks and Russians, with centuries-old ties of historical, cultural, spiritual proximity and refer to the ideas of the Orthodox East, with a common mentality and perception of man and the world, based on universal, timeless and universal values and ideals of consistency, faith to debt, to love, to real virtue and they go back from the texts of our ancient classics, from Antigone's message of universal love, responding to the threats of Creon "...however, they came together, but they were reconciled...".
She assured the delegates of the warmest feelings of friendship and gratitude of the Greek people towards the Russian people, for the readiness of the K.E.P. to cooperate in the field of tourism, to provide material for our country as a tourist destination.
Theodora Giannitsi also delivered to the Institute our new scientific books dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the National Liberation Revolution of the Greek Nation in 1821.
