A KKE delegation visited the Palestinian embassy, headed by George Marino, a member of the KKE Central Committee and a member of the KKE, and Elias Nazir, a member of the International Relations Department. They met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Palestinian state, Amal Jado, who is currently in Greece, and Ambassador Marouane Toubasi.
According to a statement, "the Undersecretary briefed the KKE delegation on the grave consequences of the Israeli occupation and the murderous attacks of the State of Israel against the Palestinian people and their struggle, as well as on the latest developments in the Palestinian problem."
George Marinos stressed "the long-standing struggle of the KKE on the side of the Palestinian people and the solidarity movement that is developing in Greece. "He condemned the Israeli occupation and the role of the United States and the European Union in upgrading the Greek government's relations with the state of Israel."
It was further reported, "in continuation of the struggle for:
- The end of the Israeli occupation.
- The immediate release of all Palestinians and other political prisoners from Israeli jails.
- The creation of a unified independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the 1967 border.
- The right of all Palestinian refugees to return to their homes.
"The immediate recognition of the Palestinian state by the Greek government, in accordance with the unanimous resolution of the parliament, of 2015".
