Alexis Tsipras 'Strategic Planning Adviser was completely opposed to those who disapproved of the prime minister at Mikis' farewell ceremony.
In a post on Facebook, Nikos Karanikas noted that when a prime minister goes to honor someone who has died, "we respect it and we are not happy. If you want to react, you do it at another time because you respect the event of death and the rendering of honors. I write this because I respect Mikis and his story ".
Responding to the reactions that arose, he said, "I did not say that I disagree with the political act of protest, turning a funeral into a political act. I said that I disagree with the yuha the moment someone goes to pay tribute ".
He also noted that he did not expect his stance to be accepted "although for cultural reasons".
