The 2026 Greek Community Cup Women's Tournament returns this summer and team registrations have already begun, ahead of the event which will be held from January 30 to February 15, 2026 at Northcote City FC.
Building on the success of the inaugural tournament, the women's competition returns to Northcote City FC, following a highly successful debut in 2025. The venue offered high-level playing conditions and an excellent atmosphere, contributing significantly to establishing the tournament as a growing institution in the women's football calendar.
The 2025 final featured a thrilling contest between Box Hill and Keon Park, with Box Hill emerging victorious 2–1. With the growing interest from the teams and the momentum that has been built, organisers expect the 2026 tournament to attract even more entries.
Tournament organizer Michalis Karamitos said that feedback from the first event highlighted the importance of continuing to invest in the women's tournament.
"We are committed to organizing a well-organized and competitive tournament, which supports the teams and highlights the talent of women's football," said Mr. Karamitos.
“The feedback we received from players and clubs in 2025 confirmed the value of further developing the Greek Community Cup tournament and we look forward to seeing the Women’s Tournament return in 2026 with even greater participation.”
Registrations have already begun and clubs are invited to register and prepare for another competitive summer of women's football.
The Greek Community Cup is organised by the Greek Community of Melbourne in partnership with the Australian Football Skool and GCTV Incorporated. The tournament returns to Northcote City FC as the host venue, with the support of Nikos Cakes and the Victorian Multicultural Commission.
