In 2011, 32 personalities, including N. Alivizatos Th. Valtinos, G. Voulgaris, G. Giatromanolakis K. Dimoula, An. Doxiadis, A. Delivorias, G. Dertilis, T. Theodorakopoulos, M. Koumantareas, D. Savvopoulos, A. Psarianos, in their march towards political leadership, pointed out the serious problems facing the country and called for the necessary measures to be taken to solve them. Unfortunately, 14 years have passed and the problems have not been solved.
This year, 91 personalities, Ambassadors, University Professors, Generals, etc., published a Declaration highlighting the same problems and calling for the finding - finally - of a meritocratic political leadership of general acceptance and international prestige in order to resolve the known problems.
Expressing a purely personal opinion, I will try - impartially - to refer, very briefly, to the history of our Homeland and the causes that have caused its decline, as well as the ways to solve the problems that plague it.
Let's start from ancient times with the Twelve Gods of Olympus, who functioned with human qualities because, quite simply, people invented them to satisfy their ignorance, fears, interests and passions, and this contributed to the division of the world since the "Gods" themselves were divided.
And the story continued until the founding of Christianity, which preached love, solidarity, and brotherhood.
However, the old elements operated negatively and divisively, resulting in the tragedy of polytheism in the Christian religion itself. Individual and corporate interests prevailed within the framework of secular power and formalism, and division and corruption negatively contributed to the Fall of Byzantium, with Christians (Catholics) being complicit.
And let us not forget the infamous Crusades, which in the name of Christ committed horrible crimes, the most unchristian! Let us also remember the tragic Holy Inquisition where the salvation of the soul was a function of the gold that the human victims had to pay.
Then, the barbaric Ottomans appeared, who conquered many countries by force, committing genocides, etc. horrible crimes. And Greece was enslaved for about 400 years and it was a miracle that it managed to free itself with the well-known protagonists with untold sacrifices. Kolokotronis lost about 70 first-degree relatives, who sacrificed themselves for the liberation of the Homeland. And the time came for "liberation" with the help of England, France, Russia, which, however, took care, with opaque control mechanisms and with their local blind organs, to make it a protectorate.
And we reached the tragic, horrible crime, the assassination of the Great Kapodistrias, well-organized by "allies" and local traitors, an event that brought Greece to the abyss, and then imposed an authoritarian regime alien to the country's genuine democratic values and traditions.
Meanwhile, tips, bribes, etc. have become an institution! Meritocracy is unknown!
Then the tragedy of the Asia Minor Catastrophe, due to internal division and powerful "allies", where approximately 80 THOUSAND HELLENIC PEOPLE were sacrificed! Tragic for the occasion, the fact that contributed to the defeat of the Greek troops in Asia Minor, that the then government foolishly sent troops against the Bolsheviks (with hundreds of Greek children as victims), and the Russians did not forget this and reinforced the Turks with the well-known tragic result for Greece. Is it possible that a similar story is being repeated with Ukraine today, foolishly?
And after WWII, where the unparalleled GREEK NATIONAL RESISTANCE (with hundreds of thousands of Greek victims) contributed to the victory of the Allies, and everyone praised Greece in the best words (but only in words), unfortunately, the division and foreign negative interventions and interventions continued. And let's not forget the shameful Secret Moscow Pact, in October 1944, where Stalin and Churchill divided the Balkans into spheres of influence (as if they were fields or sheep) without Roosevelt's consent, and this was the beginning of the tragic Civil War in Greece with hundreds of thousands of innocent victims and the general decline of the country.
And later, again with the responsibility of "allies" and local idiots, sycophants and traitors, we reached the tragedy of Cyprus, which has continued for 51 years with the Turkish occupation troops remaining in part of the Republic of Cyprus in violation of dozens of UN, EU, International Law and UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) resolutions. And the "allies" tolerate it! DISGUSTING!
Plus the other also tragic national issues such as the loss of Northern Epirus, due to "allies", and the oppression of the Greek National Minority, the shameful and treacherous "Prespa Agreement" due to, again, "allies", Imia, Turkish neo-imperialism at the expense of Cyprus and Greece. It should be noted that Turkey does not sign the Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and yet our "allies" tolerate it and not only that. And our own leaderships continue the dialogue for the sake of dialogue without a positive result.
In addition to international issues, there are many internal ones, such as the dramatic demographic decline, the lack of universal education, general unmeritocracy, the great degradation of the Medical and Nursing function (absence of Doctors and ambulances in villages and islands), degradation of Education, Armed Forces, Security Forces and Firefighters, abolition of the agricultural guards, and general corruption, nepotism, bribery, parasitism, unconstitutionality, extreme individualism (e.g. a Greek woman from Australia (G. Goudani) donates one million three hundred thousand E to the Panarcadic Hospital for the creation of a Hemodynamic Center, but some on the Board refuse due to transactions with private clinics, but in the end it was accepted and many compatriots are saved), brain drain and labor force (Greece is, especially for the USA, a very valuable HUMAN GOLD MINE and that is why it wants it as a protectorate), abandonment of the countryside and urban sprawl with negative consequences in many sectors, crime, especially child crime, insecurity, religious bigotry, scandals NOVARTIS, MATI, TEMPI, OTEKEPE, Sinai, etc., which governments are trying to cover up, fires, photovoltaics and wind turbines, forestry and the deliberate characterization of areas as "forest areas", poverty (only 50% can take a vacation), media without objectivity and impartiality, party organs (in Greece alone, 40 daily newspapers circulate in Athens and Piraeus) How do they survive? Absurd privatization of public institutions, illegal refugees and immigrants, garbage, etc. Abuse of donations. For example, the St. Niarchos Foundation has made significant donations, but some remain unused, such as, for example, an impressive building in the Metropolis of Vrilissia, which has a beautiful hall with a library, etc., for lectures on national issues, but some curious people refuse...
What, therefore, should be done to resolve the above problems?
INTERNATIONAL
- Strengthening the National Greek Minority in Albania, which Albania, instead of being a friend and ally of Greece, which seriously benefits it, conspires with Turkey and Skopje against it and maintains a Turkish military base.
- Cancellation of the treacherous “Prespa Agreement”. England wanted to be called Great Britain, but France, because of Brittany, reacted and England retreated and was called the United Kingdom. An empire retreated and the pseudo-state of Skopje cannot be called by another name as proposed? However, apparently powerful “allies”, within the framework of “Divide and Conquer” (Divide et Impera) are undermining us.
- Cyprus issue. To stop the dialogue with Turkey since it itself does not implement the decisions of the UN, the EU, International Law, the ICJ. To withdraw the Turkish occupation troops. To strategically organize the Greek Lobby in the USA and to make strong demarches to the UN, etc. so that there are positive results. To annul the Turkey-Libya pact. To claim Greece's rights to EEZ, etc.
- To recognize Greek sovereignty over Imia.
- Stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Is it true that “The Lord trains whom he wishes to perish”?
- Greece should play a peacemaker role in international crises, not fascist, neo-imperialist Turkey.
- May the cooperation between Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, and Israel continue successfully. May the differences with Libya and Syria be resolved.
INTERNAL PROBLEMS
- MERITOCRACY at all levels. Without meritocracy, there is no democracy. Also, TECHNOCRACY. How can an irrelevant or half-educated person become, for example, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Health or Education? No nepotism.
- Immediate and effective measures to address the dramatic demographic decline. And the lack of logic and patriotism is demonstrated by the stupid choice of some to solve the problem with immigrants! DISGUSTING! Development of Agrotourism and Religious Tourism.
- Financial, etc. support for Doctors, Nurses, Armed Forces, Security Forces, Firefighters, so that there is real security. Our Armed Forces should be self-sufficient in equipment, etc. to face any threat. Strengthening the Traffic Police and strict laws for driver training. Greece is first in traffic accidents. Also in labor accidents. SHAME!
- Increase in salaries and pensions for public and other employees. Consolidation of the 8-hour workday. A large percentage cannot go on vacation or even buy their vitamins.
- Reinstatement of Agrofilakos etc. for fire protection and not deliberate arsons due to Photovoltaics and Wind Turbines etc. Every year fires destroy the country and preventive measures are not taken. The same with what weather conditions the state should have and especially Radar.
- Reorganization, creation of Agricultural Cooperatives, strengthening of the Primary and Secondary sectors and not the country importing products even from hostile countries! And having a parastate of unaccountable landowners. SHAME!
- Fighting corruption, bribery, etc. in all sectors and exemplary punishment of those responsible for the scandals we mentioned above. Strict laws for national treason, for terrorist acts, murders, rapes, drugs. No wretched pre-election campaigns, etc. "I WILL" and "I WILL", begging, poverty. No to the immunity of MPs. No one is above the Law. An end to begging and all begging.
- Catholic education that will effectively help youth who are unaware of even serious national issues. Abolition of unnecessary tutoring centers.
- Meritocracy in artistic, literary, etc. Associations and no blackmail, sexual, etc. scandals, and only those who pay well to be promoted. The same in Sports.
- Unity and not religious division and formalism among Christians, but agreement on the truth, solidarity and development of social activity of the Churches.
- Implementation of the UN TOKTEN Plan, which provides for the Transfer of Technology through Greeks in the Diaspora.
- No exploitation of citizens by banks and stock exchanges.
- Abolition of the fascist, anti-social ENFIA.
- Abolition of parasitic media that promote violence. Strengthening impartial Greek media in the Greek Diaspora that offer valuable work! Close cooperation with Greek Organizations in the Diaspora to resolve national issues, preserve the Greek language, etc.
- Strict control and abolition of parasitic NGOs and Associations, which operate as party, etc. "crutches" without offering any substantive work.
- No privatization of public services.
- De-partisanization and consolidation of Trade Unionism, which often causes problems.
- Establishment of foreign Universities, provided that they are of recognized international prestige.
- Practical Faith in God and Democracy.
- United vigilance of the people and peaceful resistance to every anti-people act and not laziness that leads to a funeral. May the cradle of democracy become truly free, democratic and happy!
