Tragedy without catharsis? The infamous blessing hit Greece, causing major economic devastation in the primary sector with also serious negative political and social impacts.
Apparently, according to media reports, originating - and unfortunately not preventively controlled by the competent Greek services - from hostile neighboring countries (like fires in the past) it nightmarishly invaded Greece and affected not only hundreds of thousands of beneficial animals, but in an invisible and hybrid form the brain of part of the human leadership "herd", which, without proper understanding and effective preventive measures (vaccines, etc.), caused a "madhouse"!
How else can the fact that the "authorities" opened the "Aeolus's Bags" against the most productive classes of the country, farmers, livestock breeders, beekeepers, on whose production the economic well-being of the Greek people depends be justified? And yet, the indifference, callousness and expediency of the authorities resulted in dramatic and tragic results with suicides and deaths of some of the above very useful Greeks.
The terrible scandals that humiliated the country internationally (OPEC, etc.) were not enough, and the "authorities" did not respect the above pillars of the country's economy, but instead treated them arrogantly and hostilely, as if they were parasites, while, on the contrary, they themselves promote parasitism in every way.
The sad conclusion is - tragic irony - that for the responsible "authorities" smallpox was a "blessing", not divine of course, but "satanic" because they manage to secure their own exclusively immoral interests and privileges at the expense of the people.
How else can the sad failure of the leaderships be justified - beyond the serious internal problems of the country (demographic shrinkage, which also means future shrinkage of national sovereignty, decentralization and the creation of rural towns (a proposal in the 50s by the late and greatest Greek Economist of international prestige Kyriakos Varvaresos, which if it had been implemented Greece would have been better than Switzerland!), which would have redeemed the people from the destructive urban sprawl, the undermining of important functions (Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Firefighters, Security Forces, Armed Forces, etc.), the also disastrous brain drain (we said, Greece is the most important "Brain Goldmine"), the promotion of unworthiness, that without meritocracy there can be no genuine democracy, implicit establishment of the Periandric "follow the superior ones", undermining of institutions, especially the judiciary which suffers from political interference, spreading corruption in all sectors, absence of effective preventive measures for accidents, arson, floods, crimes, adulteration of the food chain, prevalence of fierce competition which undermines the public sector in favor of the private sector, prevalence of opaque divisive circles, etc.
And how is the abject failure to resolve key national issues justified? For 80 years, the Greek National Minority in Northern Epirus has been under constant and severe persecution and shrinking, for 51 whole years Turkish occupation troops continue to occupy part of the Republic of Cyprus, a member of the EU, violating dozens of UN resolutions, 30 years since the tragedy in Imia and the Greek Flag is nowhere to be seen, usurpation of the Greek name Macedonia by the pseudo-state of Skopje and the miserable and treacherous "Prespa Agreement", Turkish neo-imperialism against Greece with the tolerance and not only of powerful "allies", memoranda (memorials) for dozens of years, plus ENFIA etc. which cause poverty to a large part of the Greek people with serious negative consequences, failure of the Hellenism of the Diaspora to contribute effectively to the solution of the above problems due to divisive interventions of anti-Hellenic circles in contrast to other Lobby (Israeli) which can and do impose their will effectively. And yet, despite these serious problems, some naive or subordinates of foreign circles send weapons etc. to the corrupt regime of Ukraine, provoking enmity with Russia, and- especially- when its tragic, theatrical leader has not found a good word to say about Cyprus! Let us also remember the expeditionary force that Venizelos stupidly sent in 1917 against the Bolsheviks following orders from "allies", and we paid dearly for it with the Asia Minor Tragedy?
How can a country be called truly democratic when it allows foreign conspiratorial circles to infiltrate, dividing and distorting institutions and leading the country into adventures? Do such phenomena occur in other European states, such as party leaders trading various products through the media or intervening in elections in favor of candidates in foreign countries?
And what can anyone say about the tragic accidents-crimes in Mandra, Mati, Tempi, scandals NOVARTIS, Violanta etc. and the Justice in the sad role of Pilate; Also, deliberate arsons in cities and the authorities, instead of preventing them, deliberately leave them for wind turbines, photovoltaics, etc., and in some cases, unfairly fine residents instead of punishing their employees who did not clean the public areas and thus set houses, gardens, etc. on fire.
Furthermore, Forest Services intentionally label sections of land as "forest lands" so that owners can be blackmailed into selling them cheaply. Plus the fake construction and maintenance of roads.
Finally, constant division and scandals in artistic, literary, sports, etc. associations. And in which other country do 23 daily newspapers circulate and how do they survive? As for NGOs, the largest percentage operates parasitically as a party crutch or an instrument of opaque power circles.
Obviously, all of the above is due to blessing that struck leaders and transformed into Sisyphus Syndrome so that they are unable to solve the problems of the people. If we also consider the recent "shocking" international upheaval and the return of the "Twelve of Olympus", the situation becomes uncontrollable!
It is also surprising that the political leaderships, who are concerned and worried about many things, do not consult great scientists: Ambassadors (Ayfanti, Katrani, Mallia, etc.), Professors (Mazi, Kontogiorgis, etc.), Generals of the dignified ELISM (Baltzoi, Argyropoulos, Martzoukos, etc.) who are as knowledgeable as few others about international events, but perhaps content with the "calls" of "allied" factors. What a shame. We see the sad results over time.
May God (where is he?) and the people help our democracy to stop being a "democracy" (the state of "executioners") and our culture "mercenary". How long will the saying "Many evils befall a man, but no one is more evil" remain true? "Search and believe"!
