Cartoons as a mirror of society
The art of cartooning it's not just smart – it's necessaryIn a time of confusion and doubt, it functions as means of spiritual resistance, artistic denunciation but also deep sensitivity. The cartoonist doesn't just have fun – it listens, records and expresses the thoughts and concerns of a society struggling to remain awake, critical and alive.
Santorini, with the pulsating energy of its volcano, becomes for a while the canvas of this biting laughterAnd the Exhibition "The Volcano Erupted with Laughter..." reminds us that, sometimes, the strongest message is said with a sketch.
For those on the island or visiting it during this period, a visit to the Exhibition is not just recommended – it is necessary.
