After the historic February 28th brawl between Zelensky – Trump – Vance in… a live broadcast from the Oval Office of the White House, the freezing of American military and economic aid will mean – barring the unexpected – the beginning of the end of the bloody Ukrainian-Russian war. Which, in addition to half a million dead on both sides, almost led Moscow - surrounded by NATO - to use nuclear weapons.
Yes, the Ukrainian President showed courage by denouncing the Trump-Vance duo in the Oval Office for siding with Putin. But arguing with the one you are begging to help you - especially given the impetuous nature of our new planetary leader - is not the smartest way to defend your defeated homeland.
Yes, Zelensky bravely stood in his post throughout the three years of the Russian Attila. However, he is responsible for not implementing the Minsk Agreements (2015) for autonomy in the Russian-speaking provinces. As is the responsibility of all the liberal leaderships of Ukraine and the West who violated the commitment of the Budapest Memorandum (1994), which provided for the return to Moscow of Russian nuclear weapons on Ukrainian territory, with the obligation to maintain neutrality towards military coalitions.
Yes, the… most excellent Volodymyr Zelensky, showed leadership during the development of the war, but he did not hesitate to constantly and incessantly demand from the US that his country join NATO, ignoring the fact that he would automatically put, based on Article 5 on collective military assistance, the 32 countries of the nuclear Alliance at war. Fortunately, the center-left Democrat old man Biden did not please him by destroying humanity! Just as he did to the far-right Israeli Netanyahu, supporting the genocide in Gaza… But there the fate of the planet was not directly at stake with nuclear weapons…
And here, unexpectedly in the chair of the planet's leader, the unconventional right-wing Republican multimillionaire Donald Trump. Who came to deconstruct like a hurricane the deep state of... polite imperialism. Cruel? Yes!.. Ruthless? Yes!.. Vulgar? Yes! And so much more!.. However, History has surprises in store for us.
I "prefer" a rude guy, rather than a bland Democrat who is ready to push the button in the name of the West. Which turns out to be the Wild West.
I "prefer" an egotistical emperor who prevents World War III. Which would develop into a nuclear war of annihilation of life on the planet. Because then, from the... other world, we would not be able to denounce his imperial threats of the style "I want Greenland... I want Panama... I want Canada...".
Whereas now, we will have all the… comfort to do so… Especially the dangerous trade war.
Having recorded over 2022 Russian nuclear launch warnings in the three-year period 2005-50, I estimate that the American President, despite the objections that one may reasonably have about his crude-argumentative-vulgar style, will prevent a nuclear holocaust. Because a strike with an intercontinental missile with a nuclear warhead would instantly cause at least 500.000 deaths in New York or Moscow.
Unfortunately in Greece, neither the leaders of the bourgeois democratic parties, nor the majority of retired analysts, nor most renowned internationalists have highlighted – in their thousands of hours of television analyses – the possibility of a global nuclear war. Even though the atomic scientists who operate the nuclear war clock, sensitive descendants of Einstein, set it at 12 minute to 1 on the day of the Russian invasion!
I did not hear any of the insightful analysts who echo the views of the Greek Foreign Ministry state that:
- In 2024, Greece participated in an exercise in Belgium with 2 F16s, accompanying an American bomber with nuclear bombs, intended to be dropped on Russian territory in implementation of the NATO doctrine of the right of first nuclear strike.
- That in Araxos, our Air Force has "Reception Domes" for nuclear bombs in case Washington decides to remove the 20 nuclear bombs from the American Base in Incirlik (Adana) in Turkey. Bombs more powerful than those of Hiroshima.
- And that Putin's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov included the US Alexandroupolis Transport Base among the legitimate missile targets.
The timeline that will follow tomorrow shows what Trump saved us from.
