Greece welcomes the global artistic community to the new international group exhibition of visual arts entitled "A GREECE OF LIGHT! With the joy of creation under the gaze of the Vatikiotis Navy."
The exhibition, which is under the auspices of the Municipality of Monemvasia, the Group for the UNESCO of Arts, Letters and Sciences of Greece, and the Hellenic Cultural Organization "NOSTOS“Buenos Aires, Argentina, is supported by the Hellenic Society of Austria and the Association of Doctors and Allied Scientists of Austria “Asclepius” as well as by the Philharmonic of the Neapolitan Association, the Neapolitan Association “ta Vatika”, the Cultural Association of Vatika, the Dance Academy “Finix Dance Academy", from the "Neraida" Confectionery of Pantelis Meimetis and Antonis Damianakis, also from the stores of Neapolis Vion, "Tzivaeri", "Steki" and "MARKET IN". It is also accepted and supported by the international media. The exhibition will be hosted at the “Achilleas Varvaressos” ART GALLERY, Akti Vion 48, on the Beach of Neapolis and will present works by artists from various countries around the world, highlighting the rich cultural dialogue and creative exchange.
The event aims to highlight the unique light and beauty of Greece, through the eyes of international artists, while at the same time honoring the importance of art as a means of expression and communication. The theme of the exhibition inspires renowned visual artists to explore and highlight the history, nature and cultural heritage of Greece, with works of different styles and currents in the arts, of different styles and materials, with an emphasis on the symbolic presence of the Vatikiotis Nautical.
The exhibition, which will last from September 18th to September 28th, 2025, will be accompanied by parallel events: With Latin dances from the Academy „Finix Dance Academy“ and songs from the musical ensembles of the Philharmonic Society of Voion under the baton of conductor Fani Ferdianaki, with the Lecture “YOU LIVE – ART THERAPY» with the speaker being MCa Theatre expert at the National University of Athens and Mental Health Consultant Vicky Tsianika, with the theatrical performance "Xanthippe, the Wife of Socrates" scripted and directed by Giorgos A. Christodoulou, with artistic workshops, with the presentation of Marita Ritzy's poetry collection "Paths of Love", as well as the book presentations of the book "Tsakonian Flavors" by Eleni Manou and the fairy tale "Beautiful Garden" by Anneta Psarrou-Kourkoulis, with the aim of strengthening intercultural dialogue.
We invite the residents and visitors of Vatika to discover the beauty and light of Greece through the eyes of artists from different parts of the world.
The responsibility for organizing and curating the exhibition, in close collaboration with the Municipality of Monemvasia and the Deputy Mayor for Culture of the Municipality, lies with the historian and art critic Konstantina Farmaki, who ensures the high quality and artistic vision of the event.
