Η Simona Mohammson (Liberals) reacts in the TV4 investigation

In the news investigation of TV4, kindergarten teachers testify that the Violence between children has increased, while at the same time there is lack of resources and psychological pressure to the staff.
"This research makes me horrified by the situation," says the Minister of Education Simona Mohammson (L).
Large differences in incident reports
Kindergartens in Sweden have obligation to report if a child believes they have been subjected to offensive or abusive behavior.
However, TV4's research shows huge differences in the number of reported incidents among ten largest municipalities in Sweden..
"I believe this research clearly shows that we need to do much more work in prevention and δράση", so that all children feel safe in kindergartens," said Mohamshon.
"Kindergartens are in chaos"
The kindergarten teachers TV4 spoke to describe chaotic situations in kindergartens.
"This investigation makes me horrified by the situation," the minister repeated.
According to Mohamson, they need smaller groups of children, so that kindergarten teachers can observe, intervene and stop violence.
“Kindergarten teachers need to have more time to really be educators – to organize their day and not get caught up in excessive bureaucracy or too large groups of children.”
Request for a maximum limit on children's groups
Η Child Advocate, Juno Blom, asks the government and municipalities to consider How does the obligation to report incidents work in practice? and how they can be strengthened timely interventions.
Mohamshon agrees:
"Kindergarten teachers must be empowered to prevent and stop this violence. I believe this is achieved in two ways:
1️⃣ Teachers should have time to do their job, and
2️⃣ There should be one upper limit "to the number of children per group, so that they are not too large."
The government has already started research on regulating team size and staffing ratios, which will be presented in December.
"I am happy that we, as a government, were able to move forward with this investigation," said the minister.
