The Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Greece takes the initiative “ReBrain Greece”, with the aim of connecting leading businesses operating in Greece with highly specialized Greek professionals in the diaspora.
This initiative is part of a national strategy that seeks to limit and reverse the effects of the brain drain. According to data from the EUROSTAT, in the period 2010–2023, 659.547 citizens left Greece, while 422.688 have already returned, leading to a positive "brain gain" balance of 64%.
After successfully organizing events in Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, London and Stuttgart – attended by more than 5.000 Greek professionals and 120 representatives of large businesses – the Ministry is now expanding its activities to the United States of America.
The next event “ReBrain Greece” Will take place on Sunday December 7 2025, or visit its New YorkAt Marriott Hotel New York (Times Square), aiming to connect highly skilled Greeks from the USA and Canada with companies in Greece.
