On Sunday, February 1st, the annual meeting of the Heather Society of America was held, with the main topic being the election of the new Board of Directors.
The meeting took place in the hall of the Greek American Institute, in the Zoodochos Pigi area, in the Bronx, New York, in a climate of unity and creative dialogue, with the participation of members who have long supported the work of the Association and kept the bond with Ericousa alive.
The proceedings began with prayer, followed by the reading of the Minutes of the previous meeting.
Afterwards, there was a discussion on issues that remain pending and concern the Board and members, such as the Association's donations and issues concerning the Church of the island of Ericoussa. The common goal was to continue support for the homeland, with proper coordination, transparency and substantial presence.
The election process followed and the appointment of the new Board of Directors, which assumes responsibility for continuing the work of the Association, with priority given to maintaining the ties of the Greek diaspora with Ericousa, strengthening the community and preserving tradition.
