Dr. Alemis did his undergraduate work at Judson University, in Elgin, Illinois.
He received a scholarship as an athlete and played football for Judson, traveling to various states throughout the year. In 1980, he was voted Student Athlete of the Year. He graduated from Judson with honors and was accepted to the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, from which he graduated in 1985.
Upon graduation, he received the "Exemplary Clinical Work" award of excellence.
He has been practicing dentistry continuously since 1986. He is the founder of the chain of dental clinics (8) called Family Dental Care Group, one of the largest dental facilities in Chicago.
A lifelong learner, he has thousands of hours of clinical and non-clinical training to his credit. As a result of this journey, in 2014 he was awarded the FACD (Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry) degree in San Francisco, California – a distinction that only 5% of dentists in the US have achieved.
Through his studies, he has developed the most comprehensive dental management system - a work of over 2.000 pages that includes videos, exercises, etc. This management system is the system used by Upstat Dental Solutions (or UDS) to manage the Family Dental Care Group chain. UDS is Dr. Alemis' Management Company.
UDS provides management seminars for dentists in the Family Dental Care Group chain, as well as for other dentists outside this network. Dr. Alemis has also created a series of seminars for executives on how to run a successful dental practice or any type of business. He delivers seminars locally and internationally, and has founded the companies “Anodic Path”, a consulting company, and DRS (Non-Invasive Physiotherapy Center in Athens). Another of his companies is B & W REALTY in Florida.
