To those who think that Greece does not matter today, let me say that they could not make a bigger mistake. Today, like old Greece, is of the utmost importance for anyone looking to find himself.

The golden seed!

The golden seed!

Once upon a time, in a small little house, just outside the city, there lived a grandfather. Monk as he was, every morning he got up, cleaned his little house of dust, watered his colorful pots, which were filled with weeds, ate the...

My skin... My last stronghold! (part 1)

My skin... My last stronghold! (part 1)

As you may have read in my previous post, personal boundaries are important because they tell us where our own personal space ends and another's begins. Accordingly, our skin is our natural boundary that defines our body. But what's going on...

The limits (b. part)

The limits (b. part)

But what happens when our personal boundaries are either weak or non-existent, or when they are repeatedly violated? Then our skin becomes our last personal boundary, like the last fortress, the last bastion before the "fall"! Such a thing is not...

Are our boundaries healthy or not?

Are our boundaries healthy or not?

We distinguish personal boundaries into 5 categories depending on where they are applied/set in our daily lives. But with another look, we can simply categorize them according to their "quality" and thus examine them regarding how healthy or not...

Maria Niki Riginioti was born in Athens in February '79. Growing up in a family of artists, very close to the theater and visual arts, he developed a special interest in "Man" as an object of study.
With an insatiable thirst for learning and a holistic perspective, she began her journey into the wonderful world of health - physical and mental - starting with alternative forms of treatment, such as Shiatsu, Reflexology, Tai Yoga massage and Lymphatic massage, nutrition seminars and, at the same time, Child Psychology at Rhodes Pedagogy . She then completed her studies in Physiotherapy and at the same time, almost, in Synthetic Psychotherapy, as she saw that any musculoskeletal problem was invisibly connected to some psychological issue.
He then attended the Neurology program of the EKPA as well as the Special Education and Training program: Diagnostic Therapeutic Counseling and then Bereavement and Divorce Management. Other psychology programs at the University of Ioannina followed, such as Crisis Management, Personality Disorders, Relationship Management and Couples Counseling. Then he chose the Child Psychology program and the Life Coaching program of the University of the Aegean.
One of the most important milestones in her journey in psychology was her study of Body-Centered Gestalt Psychotherapy, which is the basic psychotherapeutic methodology she uses.
Subsequently and as an inclusion of all previous studies, he attended the short-term Psychosomatic Medicine program of the Open University in collaboration with Panteion University.
Scattered over the years, he attended various seminars and workshops such as Social Psychology and Mass Psychology, Inflammation and Mental Illnesses with an emphasis on Depression, Improvisation and Expression, Theater workshop, Experiential Writing, NLP 1&2, Guided Visualization etc.
But the journey of knowledge in the wonderful object "Man", as he is wont to say, never ends and he states paraphrasing the well-known saying "I learn therefore I exist!".
In recent years she has been working as a Psychotherapist - Psychosomatic therapist and Health Consultant, live and/or online when distance does not allow it.
