K.M.M's ¨Home of love¨ has been operating since 1962 and is perhaps the only place in Greece that houses and cares completely for needy grandparents, without requiring the slightest contribution from them. It houses people who, in the most vulnerable period of their lives, in old age, found themselves without money and without people by their side. In its 62 years of operation (1962-2024), more than 540 lonely and needy grandparents lived in this "Home" in the last years of their lives in family conditions. The prolonged financial crisis, combined with the effects of covid19, have drastically reduced donations to our House, which is our only source of income. However, the operational costs for its smooth operation require a significant amount every month (Staff salaries - DEKO - Supplies... and a range of fixed costs). We are thus facing an economic suffocation. Our house is under threat!! The solution... In the urgent need to find the regular resources required for the smooth functioning of our "Home", there is a realistic, safe and permanent solution: To create a big family around them.
