This is how we spend our weekends, with books, guitar and fairy tales, in the Booking Hill House. A warm and bright space, which is not just a bookstore and not just a café. It is exactly what the neighborhood was missing: a haven for those who love reading, storytelling and human moments.
The story began with DaphneThere the owner, the dear Anastasia of Corinth, a mother of three children and a person in the publishing industry for many years, found herself losing her job during the crisis. But instead of standing at the end, she created a beginning.
With her kindness and good energy, the small coffee shop-bookstore literally brought spring to the neighborhood. People were looking for a place of their own, and they found it. A place that would not be just commercial, but alive.
Booking Hill soon became a meeting point. Children's parties, living libraries, book presentations, plays, storytelling, live music and countless small everyday moments brought life to a space that functions as an extension of its visitors' homes.
The need of the neighborhood showed the way. And so the vision grew.
Today they exist two Booking Hill House:
one in Daphne, where it all began,
and one in Kallithea, housed in a beautiful mansion of 1892.
Entering the Kallithea space, you feel that time changes pace. You are not entering a store — you are entering a house full of books. Children listen to fairy tales, adults drink coffee, a guitar is played discreetly and conversations arise spontaneously.
The Booking Hill House It is not just a beautiful place to hang out. It is proof that when a person creates with love, the community embraces it. From a need in a neighborhood, two cultural spaces were born. A small miracle of everyday life, where the book becomes an occasion for us to meet.
