After last year's triumph at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the time has finally come to once again live this unique musical experience in the most emblematic venue in the world, under the Acropolis and the starry Attic sky. This year's concerts will have renewed setlist which will also include songs that were not heard last year.

The experience takes off with the imposing symphonic sound of the State Athens Orchestra with 60 musicians on stage, under the direction of the internationally renowned Dutch conductor Koen Schoots.

Three special guests they accompany the band and add even more atmosphere to the unique live performance. In the performances, the Fany Melfi and Aphrodite Patoulidou and on the duduk the Little Galstyan.

The Piraeus Vocal Ensemble BOOK CHORUS and children's choir they complete the unique acroama.

The execution and organization of its production Classic Rock 9 has, as every year, the renowned company Robin 4 Arts with its artistic director Maria Papalambrou, which was the first to dare and achieve the collaboration of Septicflesh with the Athens State Orchestra and the appearance of a band of this musical genre for first once at Herodion.

With nine albums, countless concerts and continuous tours worldwide, participations at international festivals, 24 years of career in global rock/metal music scene, SEPTICFLESH have written their own story and have occupy a special place in the musical their space, stealing the hearts of thousands listeners internationally.

On February 8, 2025, SEPTICFLESH appeared at the legendary Pepsi Center in Mexico City, accompanied by over 200 people on stage—including a full symphony orchestra and a double choir—offering one of the most ambitious and grandiose live performances in the band's history.

The symphonic/metal live by SEPTICFLESH was first presented in 2019, at  Metropolitan Theater of Mexico city with the Mexican Symphony Orchestra, with 140 musicians and a 40-member choir. It was an excellent concert attended by more than 3500 spectators and was sold out.

SEPTICFLESH's live shows are a unique aesthetic spectacle. Their vision is to present an acoustically and visually complete result with an emphasis on theatricality, always trying to include elements of Greek culture in the image, as is the case with their lyrics.

From Japan, Mexico, South America, to every corner of Europe, Septicflesh have been touring for two decades, building a brilliant international career.

The group's audience is very large and extends to many parts of the world map.

Discographically, the band collaborates with one of the largest companies in the field. rock/metal, the German-based Nuclear Blast Records, and their latest album "Modern Primitive" received a very warm response.

The band's international musical recognition is undeniable. Indicative is the fact that in 2021, the scores of 4 of the band's compositions were selected by the internationally renowned Berklee College of Music to be included in its music library, for study by its students.

SEPTICFLESH

SEPTICFLESH was formed in Greece in the early 90s by Spyridon Antoniou on vocals/bass, Christos Antoniou on guitar and Sotirios Vagenas on guitar/vocals. Since their debut album “Mystic Places of Dawn”, they have experimented with elements of film music through the nine-minute instrumental “Mythos”. Many of their lyrics are inspired by the mythology of ancient civilizations, with an emphasis on Greek.  This became more evident in the next album that followed, with the Greek title “ΕΣΟΠΟΡΟΝ”, which had a more philosophical orientation. The Greek cultural element accompanies their entire musical journey, with songs such as “Morpheus the Dreamlord”, “Narcissus”, “Tartarus”, “Prometheus”, but also “Martyr” which refers to the pioneering mathematician and philosopher Hypatia who was brutally murdered.

Musically, the band, beyond the dominant metal his character, he always flirted with symphonic music, which he incorporated more and more over time. In his early steps, he collaborated with Natalia Rasouli (daughter of the late lyricist Manolis Rasouli), adding female operatic vocals to the compositions. Now, and for 7 consecutive releases, he maintains a stable collaboration with the Filmharmonic Orchestra of Prague. It is noted that Christos Antoniou has a Bachelor in music composition from the London College of Music and a Master in composition and orchestration, while among his teachers was Adam Gorb, head of the composition department at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Spyridon Antoniou, in addition to composition, graduated with honors from the Athens School of Fine Arts in the First Painting Workshop with professors Dimitris Mytaras, Zacharias Arvanitis and Angelos Antonopoulos. Later, he also studied photography in the department of professor Manolis Babousis.
