How many times have you visited Cyprus?
About four times. I had been there since the 1990s, when I was training people there.
Why do you choose to travel to Cyprus?
It is a very beautiful place with a wonderful atmosphere.
How would you describe Cyprus to someone who has never been there?
Sunny, beautiful, with friendly people and a relaxing environment.
What are you most looking forward to from this trip?
We will hike in the mountains and then rest.
How do you like the pace of life in Cyprus compared to Sweden?
It's calmer and more relaxed. I like the peace and quiet. I live just outside Stockholm, where it's calm at home, but the pace at work is quite intense.
Is there a city or region you would particularly like to recommend?
Yes, Larnaca for example, but there are many beautiful places all over the island.
What do you think of Cypriot cuisine?
I am vegan, so I eat food without meat and fish. This works well, and there are for example vegetarian moussaka if you ask for it in restaurants. I especially like traditional taverns. 🍽️
What do you think sets Cyprus apart from other Mediterranean countries?
I feel that the people are very friendly and that tourists are really welcome.
Are you worried after the recent incident discussed?
Not at all. One cannot live in fear all the time.
Would you recommend that Swedes travel to Cyprus even now?
Yes, absolutely.
Would you consider spending more time there in the future?
Yes, we plan to do some things there in the future. Maybe not move permanently, but spend more time there.
