The Internal Affairs Service of the Security Forces arrested -5- Greek citizens in the early hours of Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in Kos, who are accused of possession and trafficking of narcotics in the Dodecanese islands.
The case file that was filed, for -as appropriate- criminal organization and violation of drug and weapons laws, also includes -11- individuals.
In particular, in the context of investigating a relevant complaint and following the combined use of information, data and special investigative actions, it was established that a criminal group consisting of the -4- arrested persons had been established, at least since August 2025, in continuous action.
Its members, having distinct and complementary roles and a common action plan, were systematically active in the storage and trafficking of narcotics, mainly cocaine and cannabis, to a network of stable "clients", mainly on the islands of Kos and Kalymnos, carrying out a total of at least -151- verified trafficking operations.
To support their activities, the members procured narcotics from third-party traffickers, hid them in places known exclusively to each of them, and then distributed them, depending on the demand of the clientele that each defendant had developed.
At the same time, they took counter-surveillance measures, holding meetings in controlled spaces and using coded terminology for the types and quantities of drugs, in order to conceal the true content of their conversations.
Regarding the fifth of those arrested, his involvement in the supply and trafficking of narcotics emerged, without, however, his actions being part of the above criminal group.
It is noted that no involvement of police or other public officials in the illegal actions of the criminal group was identified.
From the searches carried out in homes, shops and vehicles, the following were found and seized:
- -9- grams of raw cannabis,
- cannabis seedling,
- high accuracy weight scale,
- pistol,
- narcotic pills, without relevant medical prescriptions,
- metal graters with cannabis extracts and
- the amount of -3.550- euros.
The arrested persons were taken to the competent prosecutor's office and referred to the main interrogation.
