Alexis Tsipras submitted a topical question to the Prime Minister Kyriako Mitsotaki which is entitled "Will the Prime Minister take responsibility for the disastrous results of his government in managing the pandemic?" In it he emphasizes that from August onwards, Greece is in the worst places in Europe in victims per million population "and at the same time the vaccination program does not go ahead, since Greece is in the 20th place in vaccination rates among 30 European countries.
"At the beginning of October last year, we had a total number of 400 victims and almost on a monthly basis, the Parliament discussed the development and management of the pandemic. At the beginning of October this year, within a year, we have reached from 400 to 15.000 of our fellow citizens who have lost their lives ".
"Almost on a weekly basis we now have about 300 of our fellow citizens who die from coronavirus, an extremely high number. The government pretends that things are going smoothly and at the same time Mr. Mitsotakis dismissed from his duties the political leadership of the Ministry of Health, the Civil Protection and the president of EODY ".

TIME QUESTION
To the Prime Minister
Subject: Will the Prime Minister take responsibility for the disastrous results of his government in managing the pandemic?
Since August, our country has consistently been among the worst in Europe in terms of victims per million population.
At the same time, the vaccination program is not progressing either, as we are 20th in vaccination rates among 30 European countries, with a rate that has long been fixed at around 55%.
At the beginning of October last year, we had a total number of 400 victims and almost on a monthly basis, the Parliament discussed the development and management of the pandemic.
At the beginning of October this year, within a year, we have grown from 400 to 15.000 of our fellow citizens who have lost their lives.
In fact, these days our country surpassed even Sweden in the number of victims, with a population corresponding to our country, which from the beginning of the pandemic was an example to be avoided for the way of managing the pandemic.
Almost on a weekly basis we now have about 300 of our fellow citizens who die from coronavirus, an extremely high number. The government pretends that things are going smoothly and at the same time Mr. Mitsotakis dismissed from his duties the political leadership of the Ministry of Health, the Civil Protection and the president of EODY.
The data and figures show that the country is in an extremely negative position in terms of pandemic management.
The Prime Minister is asked:
Is it aware of the government's responsibility for ranking our country in the worst places in Europe in terms of victims in proportion to the population and what do it assess as the causes of this negative development?
Does it have a plan to deal with the painful situation, by strengthening the NSS and primary health care, effective epidemiological surveillance, strengthening the vaccination and drug program, or will the country continue to mourn the victims and the government will talk about normalcy?
