Drug pills, quantities of heroin and cocaine, a shotgun, 45 cartridges, precision scales, recorders and security cameras were seized.
The Narcotics Sub-Directorate of the Organized Crime Countermeasures Directorate carried out coordinated police operations in Acharnes, Attica, on June 3 and 4, 2025, with the aim of combating the trafficking and possession of narcotics.
The operation was carried out with the assistance of police forces from the Operational Actions Department of the Intelligence and Special Actions Sub-Directorate, the EKAM, the YAT, as well as drug detection dogs from the Special Police Forces Directorate.
This was preceded by a relevant investigation of information, while afterwards police actions, verifications, cross-checking of data and through the creation of profiles of those involved (Profiling), Their criminal activity in the possession and trafficking of drugs was certified.
In this context, targeted searches were carried out in homes and a total of -6- people were arrested for two separate cases, accused of violations of drug and weapons laws, while one more person is included in the case file.
Specifically, in the afternoon hours of Tuesday, July 3, 2025, the police officers located two of the accused selling drugs to an individual inside a house, for the amount of -10- euros. When the buyer was stopped, he was found to be in possession of improvised packages containing heroin, with a gross weight of -0,5- grams, and cocaine, with a gross weight of -0,1- grams.
The above were arrested and in subsequent searches of a house and a cottage in the area, two additional people were arrested, accomplices of the above, while drug pills, a shotgun and cartridges were found and confiscated.
In the second case, a person was stopped and arrested, who was in possession of packages containing heroin, with a gross weight of -1- gram, and cocaine, with a gross weight of -0,2- gram.
As it turned out, the arrested person had previously obtained the drugs from a ground-floor house in the area, where an individual resides, whose details have been identified and are included in the case file.
In total, during the investigations, the following were found and seized:
- -115- narcotic tablets,
- -0,3- grams of cocaine,
- -1,5- gram heroin,
- carbine and -45- cartridges,
- -1.938,5- euros,
- -3- mobile phones,
- -2- precision electronic scales,
- -6- cameras, -2- video recorders and -2- televisions.
It is noted that all of the defendants have been convicted in the past of numerous offenses such as (as applicable) weapons, drugs, circulation of counterfeit currency, participation in a criminal organization and gangs, theft, fraud, assault on sexual dignity and damage to another's property, while two of them had also been subject to restrictive conditions.
The arrested were taken to the competent prosecutor's office, where -5- were referred to an investigator and one to be tried in the Single-Member Criminal Court.
