With particular joy and sincere emotion, I congratulate the Greek News Radio FL Organization, based in Miami, Florida, on completing five years of creative and substantial presence in the field of information, culture and the promotion of Hellenism everywhere.
Warm congratulations are due primarily to the head of the Organization, Mrs. Ioanna Lazarou, who, with dedication, consistency, insight and tireless personal effort, managed to create a vibrant channel of communication between Greece, the Greek diaspora in the United States and Greeks in every corner of the world.
In an era when information is often tested by exaggeration, superficiality and misinformation, Greek News Radio FL serves the journalistic function with seriousness, dignity and ethics. With respect for the listener and the reader, with objectivity, honesty and a sense of responsibility, it highlights issues concerning Greek society, the Greek diaspora, culture, language and our historical identity.
Particularly important is his contribution to maintaining the ties of the Greek diaspora with the motherland. The Greek voice, when it travels across borders and oceans, does not only convey news; it conveys memory, culture, homeland and the feeling that no Greek is truly far from his roots.
I feel particularly honored and proud to be a member of this remarkable effort and that my articles and texts occasionally find a welcoming space on the pages and in the actions of the Organization. My participation constitutes for me not only a creative collaboration, but also a relationship of trust with people who love information, honor public discourse and consistently serve Hellenism.
I sincerely wish Mrs. Ioanna Lazarou, the associates and the entire family of Greek News Radio FL to continue with the same strength, faith and creativity. The first five years are not just an important anniversary, they are the solid foundation of a path that still has much to offer.
May the coming years be even brighter, more productive and successful, with more voices, more bridges of communication and an even greater contribution to information, culture and universal Hellenism.
