If someone had told me a few years ago that my writing could spread its wings to travel beyond the borders of our Greece, I might have hesitated to believe it.
But deep down, this was a secret dream of mine as well as a wish, not only mine but also of people who appreciated my writing efforts.
And here, thanks to an insightful and multi-talented person whom I was lucky enough to meet along the way, I find myself ecstatic with my first fairy tales translated into English.
The reason, for Mrs. Ioanna Lazarou, the director of Greek News and Radio FL newspapers and the publishing house of Businessrise Publishing House.
My collaboration with her as well as with the publishing house, which is based in Miami, Florida, has been fruitful from the first moment, resulting in my three fairy tales entitled "The Velvet Pillow"
"Mrs. Gripi and her children" and "The owl's feather", to travel beyond the Atlantic!
Thus, young readers from all over the world will have the opportunity to absorb the messages of optimism of knowledge and a positive attitude towards life, which often brings us face to face with unpredictable and unfortunate circumstances.
So in the modern era of challenges we are going through, Mrs. Ioanna Lazarou together with her chosen and tireless collaborators, had the sensitivity and the ability to distinguish these characteristics of my fairy tales and with their own help to highlight them beyond the borders us, so that they become accessible to the children of the diaspora and beyond.
My warmest thanks to Mrs. Ioanna Lazarou, a modern torch bearer of the Greek spirit, who represents the values and culture of our homeland in distant America keeping the beacon of the Greek Soul burning!
The unique work offered by both herself and the valuable partners of her publishing house, Businessrise Publishing House, who with such great zeal and consistency work for the promotion of contemporary Greek writers, deserves only congratulations and praise!
