An unexpected voice in favor of the Public and Municipal nature of water came to the popular assembly in Distomo on this issue, from an expatriate who lives and works in Houston, USA!
Speaking at the gathering of his fellow villagers – in the presence of MPs, many Mayors and a multitude of citizens – after an invitation by Mayor Yiannis Stathas, but also on camera by STAR Central Greece, the Greek-Greek geologist at major oil companies in Texas, George Kastritis from Distom, emphasized that in this megacity in the US, the water belongs to and is managed by the Municipality! And they pay it a small amount per month!
In fact, when asked about the possibility of transferring the water to a private limited company, he responded characteristically and spontaneously: <<Sin!>> (see the videos below).
