Psychological novel and the recent fifth book of Venetia Pitsiladis-Chuard entitled: "Insane relationships". A title that looks like a challenge and raises questions, it is not difficult, however, from the opening note of the author for the reader to solve his question.
It is a fact - sad I would say - that we live in a society that is looking for the way it has lost, and there are moments when we realize that we are in a transitional period. Daily contrasts, upheavals without the possibility of finding balance, a struggle between the traditional and the modern, degradation of the family and the values of life, as well as abnormal sex and the deification of money, undoubtedly bring the citizen to a complete impasse.
This society, therefore, is the subject of the book in which the insane relationships that arise from it are analyzed. The heroes relied on society's wrong advice and were led astray by it. Passionate personalities with a restless spirit and artistic sensibilities, trying to come to terms with their weaknesses and mistakes. The protagonist is a recognized psychiatrist who, true to his moral principles, becomes the keeper of family secrets.
Venetia Pitsiladis-Chuard, having studied Counseling Psychology and Public and Social Relations, manages to describe in depth and in her own analytical way the characters of her heroes, and makes the reader able to get into their shoes. At the end of her introduction, the author mentions that the reader, finishing reading the book, wonders who is the "perpetrator" and who is the "victim" in the midst of so many twists and turns. My answer to the question is that we are all victims of the erosion of society, and that we must all fight to change it.
Contemporary and necessary reflection book in a tasteful Ocean edition. On the cover the reader is greeted by a portrait of striking beauty of a woman of the good old days of principles and ideals!
