The World Piano Teachers Association awards the young pianist from Santorini
Just one month after her great national distinction with the victory of First Prize at the Chaerogiorgos-Sigaras Competition at the Athens Concert Hall, 14-year-old pianist Angelina Tsiantzi Mante from Santorini achieved another brilliant international success, winning second place in the International Piano Competition of the World Piano Teachers Association Italy (WPTA Italy).
In a particularly demanding international competition with entries from many countries, the young pianist stood out for her exemplary performance, her structured musical thinking and the clarity of her interpretative approach, elements that confirm her steady upward trajectory in the field of classical music.
At the international competition, Angelina presented a demanding repertoire of high standards, with works by Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and Liszt, garnering excellent impressions from the jury of the World Piano Teachers Association – WPTA.
The path of the young pianist from Santorini is based on the systematic and inspiring guidance of two charismatic piano teachers, Agathi Leimonis and Giorgos Tsiantzis, with continuous pedagogical and artistic support.
The WPTA Italy international competition is part of the Alink-Argerich Foundation network, one of the most important organizations internationally in the field of piano competitions, giving particular prestige to the institution.
WPTA Italy is the Italian branch of the World Piano Teachers Association, an international organization dedicated to the promotion and support of talented pianists from all over the world. Its events attract participation from many countries and are evaluated by international committees of distinguished artists and educators.
Angelina's new distinction ensures her participation in the winners' Gala Concert, which will take place in Madrid next fall, giving her the opportunity to perform on yet another important international stage with distinguished young pianists from around the world.
Her distinction is also accompanied by an invitation to participate in international masterclasses and programs of high artistic specialization in Milan and Madrid, offering significant prospects for artistic development to the awarded young pianists.
