The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in a recorded greeting, at the opening of the Conference of the Military Committee of ΝΑΤΟ, held in Athens said that,
"Throughout our history we have honored our alliances. Since 1952 ΝΑΤΟ is located in the heart of the architecture of Security and Defense of Greece ".
"NATO's strength is based on its values and principles. Unity, solidarity and respect for democracy and the law. "Today," he added, "the international security environment is evolving rapidly and often in an unexpected way. "This is a challenge to the strategic stability of the past decades."
"2021 marks a new cycle for NATO. The agenda 2020 - 2030 sets the tone. The challenges we face are complex. No country can deal with them alone. The cooperation of all of us is crucial. And cooperation continues to define our Alliance "
The Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis thanked the leader GEETHA "For the efforts he made for the holding of the Conference" while he noted that the Conference is held on the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution "which resulted in the establishment of the modern Greek state".
